While walking through Tafraoute, we were stopped by a stranger who wanted to ask us about the ukulele case we were carrying. Adil turned out to be a local traditional Berber musician, and we arranged to meet him and his friends again later in the evening in a deserted bicycle repair shop. I started recording as soon as we began to play, and although the sound quality is low and I didn't capture everything, I feel this collection of songs captures at least something of the magic of that evening. Adil keeps a blog (adilo-azenzar.skyrock.com) on which he updates his own band, Ait Imal.
